The Way Back

Did you miss me? 😀

It’s been a while since we last chatted. You look amazing. Have you lost weight?

Funny thing, after two months on the road, I wasn’t homesick in the traditional sense. I was more. . . travelsick.

I had grown tired of being on the move so much of the time. It was losing the magic.

I knew it was coming.

In my reading about long-term travel, the guidance said that there was no shame in tiring of the road. It happens to everyone.

The best cure is to simply go home. . . until you itched to travel again.

So home I went for about 2 weeks…

And then I began itch.

So I went to NYC (which was not as dystopian as I feared) and then San Diego (which was much more dystopian than I dreamed).

And on Sunday, I head to Dublin.

This time with some company. My daughter is joining me for the first leg of the next round.

Honestly, I needed to change out my wardrobe a bit anyhow. I also wanted to drop off some things I really haven’t used much and bring along things I wished I brought initially.

After all my kit exchanges, I am still carrying about the same amount of stuff. Go figure.

I will pick up the blog where I left off. Hopefully, with an itty-bitty more wisdom than I started out.

See you on the road.
