My lovely wife, Michele, and I have been married for over 26 years.
Those many years together require that we give each other a certain amount of freedom to navigate, so to say.
A term of art in vogue as of late is “Hall Pass.”
This term is defined in the Urban Dictionary as “[A]n exemption given by your lover/partner to engage in fooling around activities with a famous person, if you ever were to meet them.”
Of course, the chances that one would actually meet that famous person makes this option, at best, remote.
For example, Michele has a Hall Pass if she ever runs into the actor, Bradley Cooper. Go for it, baby!
Michele has returned the favor and given me a Hall Pass for a certain famous country singer.
A particular someone who sings about a woman named Jolene.
Well, as chance would have it, I might have run into my celebrity crush recently . . .
