The musings of a wandering Irish rapscallion

Bazaar – Cairo, Egypt

Two Capital Cities.

Both are majority Arab.

Both are located in North Africa.

One is a chaotic, polluted, vibrant, litter-strewn, horn-blaring, sweltering, dynamic, overwhelmingly loud, poorly maintained, eclectic, constantly under construction, filled with culture and plain old overcrowded.

The other is clean, serene, tree-swaying, nicely landscaped, boring, orderly, relaxed, well maintained, litter-free, ho-hum, almost sleepy, possible false facade, gentle breezes, lots of personal space with cutting edge architecture.

One city has a population of 20 million and the other just 2 million.

Both have amazing ancient traditions and remarkable ruins.

Which is better🤔?

Is it even fair to compare them? ⚖️

I have a definite favorite, but you should visit both and make your own decision.
